Responsible for investigating and analysing the total markets in which UASC operates, providing reports and input for sales strategy and business development studies and analysing performance of competitors and other market related exercises. Responsible for investigating potential new products and making recommendations for their implementation

- Identify needs and implement plans for market research/intelligence on container shipping markets in general and the markets in which UASC and its customers operate in particular
- Ensure high quality market intelligence is gathered and analysed for UASC to identify trends and forecasts for container businesses globally, monitor and analyse commodity trends at industry / trade levels (productivity of existing trades or potential new trades, trades and conference statistics and in depth studies on new and existing countries or regions)
- Ensure that intelligence and analysis are gathered on competitors and disseminated within the organization (e.g. financial performance, introduction of new products, growth and market share development)
- Develop tools and methodologies to profile customers and assess customer needs to proactively prepare for future product / service demands
- Define, create and maintain UASC clients segmentation in the short, medium and long term through analytical techniques, liaising closely with Key Account Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager.
- Develop new products and services addressing the needs of the customers (e.g. additional logistics, tracking tools ...)
- Carry out target regional / country studies to ensure that the market and competitor activities, political and economic information are accurate and concisely documented in a timely manner to facilitate the development of the cluster / local plans
- Ensure market intelligence provided to the internal customers (Trade Managers, Cluster Sales and Key Account Managers, etc) is useful for optimizing and improving business with current client base and expanding client base.
