ABOUT THIS JOB
The Coil Tubing specialist manages all process jobs dedicated to him from start to finish ensuring that the contract requirements are implemented and adhered to by operational personnel and that the client is provided with a quality service
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Actively ensure that his / her own health & safety and the health & safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times.
Ensure full awareness of and compliance with the requirements of all relevant Company HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and Coiled Tubing Operating Procedures.
Report all accidents, incidents, or any unsafe conditions.
Takes necessary steps to prevent all injuries and damage to property, plant, equipment and environment.
Ensure the operation of equipment is in accordance with safety and Coiled Tubing operating procedures.
Ensure that the general maintenance and pre job checks of equipment are carried out to ensure equipment status and availability.
Ensure that when onshore he/she keeps in regular contact with the Project Manager, also makes he/she available to attend the monthly safety meetings.
Ensure that the rig up/down of equipment, pre job checks, and operations are carried out in compliance with BJ HSE procedures, client PTW and Coiled Tubing operating procedures.
Ensure awareness of the job as it progresses, and keep the crew informed at all times of changes to the procedure, client’s instruction.
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, and maintained /serviced when required.
Ensure that the system line up and all paperwork is completed prior to pressure testing.
Report any conflict of interest or deviation from procedure to the company representative.
Ensure that adequate shift handovers are performed and duly recorded and that all personnel on shift are briefed on the work that is to be undertaken.
Also ensure that all information is recorded and Risk Assessments are performed for all tasks to be undertaken.
Ensure all paperwork is complete and is presented to the client for signing at the end of the job, and is presented at the post job meeting. To keep the Operations Manager / Operations Engineer informed of how the job is progressing.
Carry out pre-engineering as required by the Operations Engineers
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Experience 5-6 Years in relevant employment
Good Mechanical Engineering Aptitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Good Communication/ Organisation Skills
