Job Purpose:
We are actively seeking a dynamic and well qualified individual to join our team in the Sales and Marketing field. He should also be able to meet and exceed sales plan and improve upon existing segments as also identify new markets, with the ability to develop relationships and establish rapid control over his allocated duties. He should also possess inherent abilities for upward movement and undertake additional responsibilities in due course.
Experience:
8 to 10 years in Building Materials or similar industry
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and conduct the sales as per the company's business plan with allocated customer base in line with set targets, objectives and authority limits.
2. Expand the customer base, identify new markets, examine profitability of each customer and improve the return on this investment.
3. Submit monthly report on performance against budget and future plans for product development while taking necessary action when there is a deviance from the budget.
4. Prepare and contribute to the company's sales plan by reviewing performance and examining potential growth.
5. Report back on competition, key market information and any complaints from customers.
6. Build relationships with customers and potential business associates to promote the company and its products.
7. Discuss projects through weekly internal meetings and the support required to ensure proper service to our clients.
8. Liaise with Architects, Consultants and the customers to ensure that their needs are understood and satisfied.
9. Forecast demand in terms of product, volume and quantities and report back to the management
10. Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure that debit/credit limits of our customers are well within our limits.
11. Responsibility for timely distribution of invoices and timely collections.
12. Identification of new products.
Additional Responsibilities
As a second stage he will required to understand the workings of the manufacturing process, and coordinate certain aspects as may be allotted to him. This will however be subsequent to a thorough understanding of the market and establishing himself as a key business contributor
Future Growth Potential
Based on his abilities to understand and deliver on expectations he will be expected to take on additional administrative responsibilities as seen fit by the management in a phased manner.
