Maintenance & Provisioning Inventory Technician - Qatar National Broadband Network Jan 9th 2013, 16:56 Division: Operations Department: Network Operations & Maintenance Reports to: Supply Chain Manager Job Summary • Responsible for all activities related to logistics and warehousing in terms of receipts of materials, proper storage, safe keeping, physical verifications and timely issuance to all users, as well as direct and control the inventory management activities to ensure availability of materials and spare parts in coordination with the vendor. Main Responsibilities • Maintain and continuously update the inventory data on a periodical basis, continuously monitor the levels of stocks, and issue purchase request when the level of inventory of a certain item reaches the reorder point. • Monitor in coordination with the vendor the receipt of stocks, and check the delivery invoices and items delivered for conformance with the purchase orders. • Coordinate with vendor the receiving raw materials and goods from suppliers until delivering them to the warehouses. • Coordinate with the vendor to verify incoming and outgoing shipments, handle and disposition of materials, and keep store inventory current. • Ensure that the vendor inspects all incoming items and that all damaged items are returned to the supplier. • Coordinate with the vendor delivery of spares and other materials from the warehouses to the work sites. • Coordinate with the vendor the transferring of spares and other materials between Q.NBN's warehouses. • Coordinate with the vendor to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials to the maintenance and provisioning teams to avoid any break down and/or delay in the operations. • Ensure the proper handling and storing of items in the right conditions, and monitor the loading and unloading of items in coordination with the vendor. • Ensure proper inventory control systems and procedures are being implemented by the vendor. • Perform periodic physical counts and highlight discrepancies. • Handle and facilitate the execution of the physical count process in coordination with the vendor, finance and other concerned functions. • Monitor storage area conditions including but not limited to: humidity, temperature..etc. • Practice duties and roles in line with the authorities as illustrated in the authority matrix. • This covers the key responsibilities to be performed, but is not all inclusive. It doesn't preclude other responsibilities from being assigned and undertaken.
