Role Summary
• To develop, establish and maintain quality control programs, policies, processes, and procedures ensuring that performance and quality of products conform to established standards and regulatory bodies' guidelines to ensure lasting customer satisfaction
• To support the AFC's business operation by developing Quality & HSE and Loss Prevention framework, policies and procedures for mitigating risk across all business function
• To develop and improve systems and procedural safeguards in liaison with Operations, Finance and Internal Audit for the prevention and detection of loss risks
Key Responsibility Areas
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements
• Establish and oversee Quality Control Policies & Procedures for all the business units in order to achieve an effective quality standard for incoming material, production process, intermediary product and end product
• Establish effective standard operating procedures for quality disciplines and methodologies in areas such as product qualification/validation, supplier quality assurance, continuous improvement, and corrective/preventive action
• Manage the physical, chemical and biological laboratory and ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
• Investigate all customers complaints and ensure that issues are resolved promptly and accurately
• Issue management report including but not limited to (Quality issues consolidated reports, Customer complaints consolidated reports, Item scrapped report, Pest Control report, Warehouse inspection consolidated reports, claims reports, Certificate of Conformity (COC) consolidated report, Damaged container/Defrost container/Label consolidated report
• Oversee compliance to ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 and HACCP quality aspects in order to ensure customers satisfaction and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Oversee the coordination with Purchase and Logistics Department to ensure compliance with storage and transportation standards
• Carry out the communication with the Insurance companies for any defrost containers and ensure the proper procedures and documentations are being provided to the insurance company on timely manner
• Ensure that process and procedure updates are properly documented to enable Company to obtain the required ISO certificates and ensure issuance and renewal are done on timely manner
• Ensure regulators endorse Company commitment to consistently exceed health department requirements
• Provide direction and coaching to all levels of management and supervision with regards to the implementation of HSE policies and practices
