• Cost Accountant will be responsible for all costing related Accounts.
• Functionally he will be responsible to Finance Manager.
• Will setup a costing system in order to have better cost of production.
• Will be responsible for process costing/job costing/unit costing/standard costing.
• Will be responsible to find competitive rate of the product and advice management accordingly.
• Construct data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system
• Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems
• Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
• Update bill of material standard costs
• Report on breakeven points by products, work centres, and factories
• Report on margins by product and division
• Report on periodic variances and their causes
• Analyze capital budgeting requests
• Perform cost accumulation tasks as a member of the target costing group
• Coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts
• Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
• Must have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures.
• Must be able to balance and reconcile records kept and be able to research and resolve any unbalanced issues involved in the accounting procedures.
• must have the capability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines; work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• must have the capability to work in a team environment with varied departments and diverse personalities
