Senior Fixed Income Trader - Banking Sector Mar 17th 2013, 08:26 The role will mainly cover GCC fixed income (bond and sukuk) cash and synthetic products for mainly institutional clients. Key tasks and responsibilities include: • Sales: Increase client volumes for GCC fixed income flow products (bonds, sukuks, CDS) • (support) Syndication of Primary Deals • Originate credit ideas (ie private placements, structured deposits, offload existing bond and loan positions) • Generate and disseminate client trading strategies • Generate ideas and manage general credit related structuring activities • One of the main contacts for all bond related activities within the GCC institutional markets • Develop an analytical platform to enhance and execute fixed income trading strategies • Research and design new analytical methods for the GCC fixed income market • Strengthen existing relationships and building new ones within and outside of the GCC to facilitate growth of the businesses trading platform. • Support bank's efforts to assist in the development of the local bond market • Support desk trading systems, risk management, and other mid and back office related concerns • Effective use of tools such as Bloomberg for analytics, research and communication. • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with regard to technical information and the ability to identify when it should be utilized in the sales process. • Posses great attention to detail. • Effectively use of Outlook and other systems to prioritize, organize and maximize time management. • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism over the phone and in person.
