As a Safety Officer you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a team of Safety Supervisors and Agents in implementing and maintaining safety programs of Qatar Duty Free. You will ensures Qatar Duty Free infrastructure and facilities are in a safe and orderly condition and in compliance with national and airport standards. The role will be to monitor and analysis safety practices in Operations to ensure safety awareness is a top priority to all staff in this area and to constantly improve safety standards. You will gathered data from regular checks, analyse and summarize data to identify trends and report it to Safety & Security Manager.
You will provide direct reporting staff with training, development, coaching and mentoring while fostering a cohesive team environment. You will ensure efficient use of the manpower available, managing performance to ensure a high standard of safety is provided
About You ::
You will need to have a diploma or associate degree or equivalent with a minimum 5 years of job-related experience and have previous experience in a supervisory capacity within the aviation industry either in airline operations or the aerodrome environment, preferably handling airport safety operations functions. You should have preferably attended any ICAO/ACI/IATA safety training courses and passed Qatar Civil Defence Approved safety courses. You should have good Knowledge of airport operations and safety regulations and procedures. knowledge of retail operations, policies and procedures, cargo and restricted articles and Ability to read, understand and interpret ordinances, laws and operating procedures.
