The Accountant role is a full function role where you will be expected to support the finance team in carrying out the financial responsibilities and operations of the company. You will be looking to make an early step in your career to join a dynamic work environment and a cohesive team. This is a hands-on role which focuses on Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger Analysis, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties. Your attention to detail and thorough understanding of the full payable and receivable process will allow you to investigate and follow up any outstanding issues. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the role will be responsible for varied responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Assist in processing expense journals in ACCPAC and revenue journals into the GL
• Assist in month end journal entries and reconciliations
• Calculating commission payments on monthly basis
• Payment processing via Cheque and EFT
• Weekly Bank Reconciliations
• Full management of debtors, including receipting, allocation of payments, reconciliations, cash reporting and setting monthly cash collection targets for Featured Listings and other revenue streams
• Liaise with suppliers, debtors and other relevant parties for follow up
• Processing rebate and credit claims
• Monthly reconciliations investigate variances out of tolerance, liaise with the business to resolve, initiate corrective actions as required and follow up outstanding issues
• Provide backup assistance for other members of the team, and assist with various Ad-hoc and finance projects duties
