Role Summary:
Reporting into the Risk Manager, the Risk Management Specialist will be part of a team that will identify, assess and mitigate or eliminate project risks on a major rail project in Saudi Arabia.
The Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for executing the risk management procedures that were developed for the program. They will facilitate risk identification, risk assessment (using both qualitative and quantitative methods), assist with treatment strategies and planning, and produce appropriate reports for the project. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the project risk register throughout the project.
The chosen candidate will have an understanding of key engineering and construction concepts and will be technically proficient in one or more risk management tools (. Active Risk Manager, Primavera Risk Analysis, etc).
Key Responsibilities:
The objective of Risk Management Specialist is to assist the Risk Manager and the Program Team in the successful achievement of the Program objectives by:
• Comprehensively identifying Risks that might impact on the achievement of the Program Objectives
• Accurately assessing the potential impacts of the identified Risks
• Prioritising the requirements for Risk response identification
• Formulating appropriate responses to the identified Risks
• Quantifying adequate cost and time provisions for post-response residual Risk impacts
• Controlling the implementation of identified Risk responses
• Monitoring changes in Risk exposure, identifying new Risks and modifying responses
