Zodiac Services part of Zodiac Aerospace Group, provides its customers with a full range of component services, for civil, military and helicopters end users on a wide scope of maintenance capabilities.
ZS EMEA is based at Abu Dhabi ( 35 employees) and Dubaï (40 employees).
To strengthen its teams and to face activities growing, ZS EMEA is looking for a Technical & Workshop Manager (F/M).
Local contract - Unlimited period
Manages and motivates all services'staff and other personnel involved in delivering high level, quality service, and on time delivery of repairs in order to ensure growth and expansion to achieve targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The workshop Manager is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of six repair workshops.
- In charge to build the budgets for the purchase of parts, tools and test benches to ensure a perfect service in line with the fast growing business.
- Assure that the maintenance activity is performed in compliance with the Civil Aviation Authorities requirements.
- Actively involved in the project of merging two affiliates set-up in Dbai and in Abu Dhabi for covering a larger products line
- Determine the work prioritisation and tasks allocation for all workshop tasks after buiding visual management board along with the Lean Team
- Oversee workshop staff so that appropriate information, instruction, training and guidance is provided when required.
- Manage the stock levels along with the local logistic team and with the forecasting team based in France
- Analyze current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the workshop.
- Ensure that the department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives, and that technicians are aware of procedures for performing their tasks
- Maintain good relationships with the other departments, back-office, forecasting, front offices, product support....
- Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the Service Area.
- Facilitate the training and development of team members in the department, by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
- Conduct annual Performance Appraisal for Workshop Personnel.
- Provide advice and technical assistance to team members.
- Evaluate the impact of work delays to develop appropriate course of actions.
- Monitor workflow to anticipate impact of delays due to team members being absent for leaves, holidays or sickness.
- Plan and adjust the workloads of department personnel to match their skills and abilities.
- Plan and prepare annual budget for the department and facilities, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Coordinate with sales department and arrange for delivery of equipment to customers.
- Maintain communication with GM to share new ideas that may contribute to improved Workshop operations.
