Job Description:
Major Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Should become thoroughly familiar with the plans and specifications as they apply to the work of inspections, and should review them frequently. In addition, the incumbent must be capable of recognizing immediately if the work he is inspecting conforms to the contract requirements.
2. The incumbent is responsible for informing the Contractor of any nonconformity and recording it in his daily report. He should inform his direct supervisor in case the Contractor did not take action.
3. As a member of the construction team, he should perform his duties in a manner that will promote the progress of work. He should be familiar with the construction schedule and know how the work he is performing fits into the overall schedule.
4. Should report to the Contractor the tests results immediately without any delay.
5. The incumbent should maintain daily reports that includes a record of the day's happenings, the Contractor's activity on the work he is inspecting, instructions given to the Contractor and any agreements made.
6. Should carry out the inspections and tests in a promptly and timely manner.
7. The incumbent should follow up on work to be corrected by the contractor on a daily basis.
8. Should call to the attention of the contractor any observation relating to the dangerous conditions on the job and record it in his daily records.
9. Shall carry out any other relevant duty as requested by his/her direct supervisor.
