MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead a team of Design Engineers to develop designs from job specifications in accordance with international engineering standards and codes of practice.
JOB OBJECTIVES
1. To lead and manage a team of professional Design Engineers.
2. To develop designs from project specifications.
3. To allocate, prioritise and check work of a team of Design Engineers.
4. To check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender.
5. To prepare and check material data sheets and material take off reports.
6. To document, record and report on meetings, progress of jobs and construction completions from design & validation reports from Project Engineers.
7. To incorporate feed back from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.
8. To prepare and check shop drawings and related technical office works.
9. To lead and manage all related site work activities related to the engineering activities.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
• Team Leadership
• Conflict Resolution
• Specific software Application
• Communication
• Specialized discipline software( ETAP, ECODIAL, DIALUX )
• Business Administration
• Thorough understanding of Engineering standards (BS standards, IEC and MEW regulations)
• AutoCAD application design skills, (REVIT)
• Management of a business unit
• Project Management
• 10 to 12 Years of work Experience as a Design Engineer
