Job Summary
• Responsible for supervising and ensuring that all network related maintenance trouble tickets are completed in timely manner in coordination with the assigned vendors.
Main Responsibilities
• Identify, troubleshoot, isolate, and clear network events and alarms in coordination with the Q.NBN's NOC in coordination with the vendor.
• Coordinate with the vendor to provide the required technical support to NOC and other operations teams with regards to network infrastructure.
• Ensure timely repair fault and test services and update Help Desk with status of the repair.
• Manage & follow up all network incidents damaged cases in coordination with plant protection officer, maintenance vendors & governmental entities.
• Ensure compliance with the escalation model depending on the severity of the maintenance issue.
• Monitor the network performance and logs and act against abnormalities as per the method of procedures and operations guidelines.
• Supervise the preventive maintenance tasks as per the plan covering the network elements and network facilities in the sites.
• Perform the required tasks related to planned works and activities in the network in coordination with Outside Plant Maintenance Manger and NOC team.
• Prepare statistical reports on the faults and maintenance activities and highlight any reoccurring required maintenance activities.
• Prepare periodic reports about the routine activities and network performance including running circuits.
• Maintain and continuously update the repair log for reference.
• Ensure processes and procedures are strictly followed and met.
• Provide 24/7 emergency call-outs to NOC team for critical and urgent activities in coordination with the Outside Plant Maintenance Manger.
• Monitor performance of third parties against defined SLA.
• Review all reports prepared by subordinates and prepare periodic reports with respect to the Outside Plant activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor.
• Recommend training needs of subordinates and evaluate the outcomes of training courses in coordination with HR.
• Evaluate subordinates and recommend annual raises according to their performance.
• Practice duties and roles in line with the authorities as illustrated in the authority matrix.
• This covers the key responsibilities to be performed, but is not all inclusive. It doesn't preclude other responsibilities from being assigned and undertaken.
