Job Summary
This position serves the KAUST Museum by facilitating tours of the facility while educating visitors and guests on Islamic History of Science and Technology and the relationship this has to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. This position a junior level of professional staff in the Museum providing individual and group tours, assisting with reservations for tour groups and promotional materials as directed by the Manager.
Major Responsibilities
• Greet visitors and introduce them to KAUST Museum and any rules associated with Visitors Develops promotional and marketing materials working with printers and advertisers to announce and promote the KAUST Museum
• Participated in conducting research studies of particular areas of Science and Technology to assist in developing support information to facilitate tours of the Museum and any written materials related to that specific display or exhibit.
• Makes reservations for group tours of the KAUST Museum and provides guided tours and related educational materials.
• Remain current in understanding and knowledge of the link between KAUST Museum and the University with Visitors Assists in reservations for group visitors from schools and community.

Technical Skills: Bi-lingual in Arabic and English

• Interpersonal skills to create an atmosphere of comfort for individual visitors and schools taking tours of the KAUST Museum
• Team work to provide feedback and resources as needed to create better programs at the KAUST Museum
• Research skills and a basic understanding of science and technology to provide support educational materials for exhibits and displays
• Good Communication skills to verbally share the KAUST Story along with Islamic Science and Technology related to the KAUST Museum and it.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Public Relations, Science or Technology is preferred or other area as related
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience of 2 years in Museum or Educational role, facilitation to individuals and groups on science and/or technology subject areas
