Senior Logistic Coordinator - Sports Corner Jan 31st 2013, 14:48 •Preparation of logistics plans to support all relevant operations within the business organization. •Management of delivery and general transport requirements; assign duties to drivers ensuring timely services, issuing fuel, recording log-books and maintenance and repair/recovery of vehicles. •Prepare and update daily/weekly/ monthly logistics, schedule to assure deliveries to Showrooms & Customer locations. •Works closely with providers to assure efficient and effective execution of defined processes and goods transportation. •Ensures that goods are delivered in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes, including planning the transportation route and payload, selecting the mode of transportation, tendering the order for transportation, and tracking the vehicle from pick up through delivery all the while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, service and contractual requirements.
