Position Overview:
To be responsible for successfully leading, growing and managing the Local & International Rental's Spot Department and ensure the achievement of the entire division's short, medium and long term objectives.
Essential Duties:
- I will ensure the employment of the highest quality personnel to maximize the departments potential
- I will maintain good relations with key customers and supports sales management with all necessary negotiations. Visits key customers on a regular basis.
- I will develop the current local spot rental business to apply world class standards.
- I will formulate the annual business plan & budget (including short, medium & long term objectives) with the intention of growing & strengthening the department's activities in line with corporate objectives.
- I will develop business development plans for all local & international spot rental plans, Franchising and Branding with overseas agencies in order to meet the local & international market requirements and ensure the achievement of budgeted sales & profit targets.
- I will improve the current local, international rental system & payment network.
- I will review performance reports to ensure timely and necessary action is taken to correct negative performance variations and ensure budgeted profit achievement.
- I will closely evaluate the efficiency of advertising & promotional activities versus sales achievements, including media spending, bonuses, discounts and store issue vouchers and other below the line activities and adjust as necessary in order to minimize costs.
- I will ensure that gross profit margins for the department to be inline as set in budget and operating expenses are maintained within budgeted limits.
- Continually reviews sales, GP margin and A&P developments & sales management to ensure achievement of planned performance.
- I will search for new business opportunities and visits international trade shows to meet potential new business.
- I will identify new market channels for development as well as potential acquisition targets.
