Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as the principal advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors regarding all matters related to land management and legal affairs.
• Determine objective and formulate plans, programs, policies and procedures related to Property Management and legal affairs.
• Direct and oversee the activities of the land (property) management department.
• Direct and oversee the activities of the Legal Affairs function.
• Direct and oversee land (Property) management activities for the Jeddah Municipality and JDURC related to:
o Land Identification
o Land Survey
o Deed Recovery
o Land Evaluation
o Land Registration
o Land (Property) Management
• Manage the relationship with third party firms that provide legal, financial, and technical advise to assist in formatting and structuring PPP Contracts from legal prospective.
• Manage the legal issues of JDURC, protect the legal interests of the company and to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Assist the project development departments in developing and formatting PPP based joint venture and legal agreements with partners from the private sector.
• Contract credited/reputable property valuation companies in order to valuate the lands owned by Jeddah Municipality and JDURC.
• Establish and maintain relationships with domestic and international companies as well as governmental entities.
Managerial
• Communicate and discuss the department's guidelines and procedures with employees to ensure responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities for are defined and understood.
• Provide guidance and leadership to department heads and employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and to ensure that they recognize their fundamental role in achieving the objectives of the Company in general and their department in particular.
• Conduct annual performance appraisal to review department heads and employees performance.
• Recommend salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on department heads and employees performance.
• Monitor the adherence of staff to JDURC's guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective departmental performance through the selection, development, deployment and motivation of competent department heads and staff
