Our client a global oil and gas exploration and production company are seeking a HES assistant to be based in Oman.
Responsible to assist the HES Specialist with coordination of the HESMS, take part in HES Training activities, prepare activity reports, hold Weekly Safety Meetings, inspect, and keep records of equipment maintenance, conduct Permit-to-Work handling and training/coaching as required and other HES activities.
Assist the HES Specialist in the coordination of the HESMS, including auditing the various elements and seeing that standards of compliance are met. Meet any specific requirements for HES position which may be included in the HES Management System and comply with Company HES rules, particularly those relating to Personal Protective Equipment and incident reporting. Assist in implementation of HESMS Record Keeping requirements including establishment of Key Performance Indicators to measure effective Program compliance.
Assist in health and hygiene inspections of Company/Contractor facilities, along with HES senior staff. Participate in health awareness campaigns to Company and Contractor's workforce, support Medical Team health campaigns.
Assist in ensuring field compliance with the environmental regulations of Oman and company policy, with particular emphasis on the proper handling of all wastes and recycling opportunities.
Assist in ensuring accurate documentation of maintenance and operability checks on all safety equipment in the field. Assist the HES Specialist in ensuring compliance with Company policy in all areas of HES. Maintain records of all accidents and incidents and assist/advise field personnel to maintain required standards of investigation and reporting. Assist in Permit to Work System implementation including training/coaching.
Assist with the New Employee Orientation program, and safety training in topics dictated by company policy. Monitor and assist with the career development of the HES staff as tasked.
•Assist the HES Specialist in the coordination of the HESMS, including auditing and reporting of the various System elements and promoting full compliance to the HESMS standards.
•Assist in conducting frequent inspections to Company and Contractors Workshops to ascertain their safe work practices and their compliance to Company rules & regulations
•Assist in incident /accident investigations and maintain timely, accurate records
•Perform and monitor Permit to Work System duties, with a strong focus on coaching at the worksite.
