1.Management of the team's workload ensuring second tier incidents (tickets) are followed through to resolution and tracked against transparent staff performance measurements and KPIs and other activities such as the implementation and maintenance of new technologies are planned appropriately.
2.Leading a team of IT Network and server specialists to deliver services, ensuring these services are provided uninterrupted and in accordance with a formerly defined Service Level agreed.
3.Ensuring effective performance management is applied across the team with the delivery of agreed service levels and KPIs being a key driver to success.
4.Reporting regularly to management detailing the effectiveness of the Network and server infrastructure, and possible future infrastructure strategies.
5.Supervise installations and upgrades to systems hardware and software.
6.Ensure only agreed planned changes are made to the systems in a controlled manner.
7.Motivation, coaching and training of the team members.
8.Ensuring best practices are applied including change, problem and incident management using ITIL as the agreed service management framework.
