Driver Feb 16th 2013, 07:44 JOB SUMMARY Use to driving truck to transport company product to customers, and well maintains the truck and ensures that they are always in good performance condition and that they comply with the traffic regulations and safety measures. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES  Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.  Reads bill of lading to determine assignment.  Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit.  Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck.  Obtain customer's signature on delivery documents and submit to the store keeper (or collect payment from customers in case of cash on delivery terms)  Inventories and inspects goods to be moved.  Gives directions to helper in packing and moving goods to truck.  Drives tractor-trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products, or materials, usually over long distance.  The transfer of the company's products to customers in specific places in advance and on-demand and time specified.  Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from loading crew as needed.  Drives truck to weigh station before and after loading, and along route to document weight and conform to state regulations, in case of requirement.  Well maintains the company truck in his custody, and requests necessary services for the cars, such as, cleaning, maintenance and oil change & check tires.  Makes some periodic inspection for company truck on daily or monthly or annual basis to ensure that the cars are in good working conditions and that they comply with the safety measures and traffic regulations.  Driving the truck and flow and observing traffic regulations and safety measures when executing duties assigned to him as per service orders.  Maintains a good driver log according to Traffic police regulations. MENTAL DEMANDS The most important part of the job is accuracy in the performance of work and application of the safety instructions The most Difficult/Complex Part of Job is leaking oils / cans not closed well.
