The Role:
- Act for the Consultant as Owner's Engineer in a large-scale water infrastructure project.
- Perform all Quantity Surveyor tasks to supervise the construction works of the EPC Contractor, in particular pipelines, pumping stations, and water reservoirs.

The Job Profile:
- Based on the BOQ prepare a tracing/follow-up schedule (e.g. in MS Excel) for the entire project, to be used as a reference for materials/progress invoices to be processed for payment
- Check quantities and activities according to BOQ item descriptions, preamble and contract method of measurement
- Review and comment on Contractor's breakdowns of lump sum items
- Review shipping documents and Receipt Cum Damage Reports for material payment
- Review measurement sheets according to approved drawings
- Review As-Build Drawings
- Perform cost estimates and cost control
- Be the focal point of contact to the Contractor Quantity Surveyor and to Owner's staff.
- Be thoroughly familiar with Contract requirements and capable to interpret the different clauses for each particular case.
- Closely liaise with the Resident Engineers and Assistant Resident Engineers of the different disciplines for the review of Contractor's monthly invoices
