General Manager - Broadcast Operations & Production Mar 20th 2013, 05:16 A newly established TV Broadcasting Company in London is looking to hire a GM to lead its operation. Target audience for the TV is mainly the MENA region. The General Manager is responsible for the leadership, vision, strategic planning, budgets and administration of Broadcast Operations, Facilities, Post Production and Client Services for Broadcast Operations and Engineering in London. The General Manager provides leadership and direction for all departments including : Broadcast Origination & Distribution, Media Center Operations, Manpower & Facility Scheduling, Client & Technical Services and Program Library. The GM is responsible for recruiting, training, development and ongoing leadership of a dedicated team of broadcast professionals who man and run a 24x7 Network Operation. The position will also ensure the department is operating at maximum efficiency while inspiring new growth and innovation. Will direct a staff of 40+ employees. •Provides overall leadership, direction and vision for all aspects of broadcast operations, origination and media operations team. •Develops policies, standard operating procedures and training for technical staff. •Hires, supervises, trains and manages direct staff through coaching, mentorship, performance reviews and on-going feedback. •Develop and implement strategies, training methods and operational procedures to ensure quality control and excellence in network program delivery and origination. •Develop/manage departmental operating and capital budgets; manage projects to completion. •Builds and maintains an effective, collaborative relationship with clients. Leads process to create budgets, plan and manage projects to implement solutions. •Identify and champion change needed for effectiveness, competitiveness, and cost efficiencies. •Promote a cooperative, collaborative, supportive cross-functional environment that delivers an open and honest atmosphere.
