SUMMARY
The Recruiter position will be able to research various databases to locate potential candidates who could successfully perform the essential duties presented in the job description. Contact prospects to determine their availability and financial requirements. Perform reference/background checks by contacting previous employers and personal references.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop collaborative working relationships with Sales/Service Managers
Fill open positions with high quality candidates in a timely manner
Develop prescreening and interview guides for positions as needed
Attend status meetings as required to ensure recruiting goals and integrity are maintained
. Search and research various Internet sites and recruiting databases for potential candidates
Contact existing employees for referrals and to maintain relationships for long term staffing needs
Interview potential candidates
Collaborate with recruiting team members to and implement recruitment and staffing plans
Ensure accurate information updates and integrity of the recruiting database
Adjust priorities according to changing business needs.
Research alternative recruiting methods to expand candidate pool
Ensure compliance with established Granite/GE policies and procedures as well as local, state, federal laws, guidelines and Immigration regulations.
Generate leads for current and/or future openings through networking, internet sourcing, referrals, cold calling, personal contacts and research.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service skills, troubleshooting, problem solving and creative, innovative thought processing skills
Possess strong presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting candidates to Sales/Service Managers
Familiarity with office formats and procedures, including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
Ability to cold-call and find diverse ways to source hard-to-find candidates
Maintain knowledge of current federal and state employment laws.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree; or 4 years related experience in lieu of degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience is required. Recruiting experience various in industries such as: Power Generation, Petro-Chemical, Nuclear, Construction, Pulp & Paper and/or Manufacturing preferred.
