• Manage the integrity of all financial and management data, ensuring information is accurate and timely and instigating audits of process and procedures as necessary to provide quality assurances
• Coordinate the monthly financial data reporting process for the Division including preparation of accurate and timely data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and as per request form Director.
• Assist in the planning, preparation and implementation of financial policies, processes and guidelines for the organisation.
• Provide advice and support on financial matters to the Division's management, staff and customers.
• Establish co-operative workplace relations based on consultation and regular communications with Finance team, management, sales & logistics team.
• Participation in department team meetings
• Analyze existing work processes, procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies and service improvements.
• Implement continuous improvement principles to enhance service delivery, reduce response times and remain responsive to customer needs.
• Compilation of monthly audit file
• Provision of monthly results and other financial data to the Director
• Preparation of Business Plans / Forecasts
• Variance analyses
• Cash-flow management
• Provide support to managers
• Liaison with banks and auditors
• Management of accounting system
• Development and improvement of systems & procedures
• Development and completion of financial models and sensitivity analyses to support bidding / marketing processes
• Budgets / financial forecasts and reviews should be prepared and presented to management on a monthly or on a quarterly basis.
• Bank reconciliation checks
• To initiate a formal month-by-month reconciliation of payroll so as to facilitate the reviewer in authorization of payroll sheets and to further improve the integrity of financial information.
• Approval and review of Journal Vouchers prior to being posted to the general ledger.
• Establishing and maintaining acceptable internal control for the accounting functions.
• Supervise and lead a team of professional staff, including the analysis and management of workforce planning needs, work allocation processes, performance management and career planning strategies.
