Our Client is a large investment firm. They are currently seeking an IT Support Engineer. You will be working alongside the IT Team. The IT Systems Engineer will assist in the smooth running of the IT Department within the organisation by running the Helpdesk area for the Johannesburg office and effectively actioning all problem requests in a timely and efficient manner.
The successful candidate must be a driven, a self-motivated lawyer, willing to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment, have a Good business sense, with the ability to analyze transactions and identify key elements and issues that are important to reach sound conclusions.
Some of the responsibilities will include;
• IT Support
• Problem investigation
• Problem diagnosis
• Solution implementation
• Documentation of actions and findings
• Updating the internal customer throughout process of the problem definition/solution
• Pro-active support - on-going maintenance and monitoring of systems in accordance with appropriate plans
• Preparing new computers for new entrants and replacements
• Troubleshooting servers and other Audio Video infrastructure
• Ongoing documentation and updating of records regarding supported networks
• Manage the organizations account with telecom Operators regarding mobiles and internet
• Negotiate new suppliers for all IT requirements
