My client in Qatar are currently recruiting for a hospitalist/ internist.
The vision is to develop a fully integrated high-quality care, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, for hospitalized patients and improve their flow from admission to discharge with the best possible outcome and the least complication.
The Inpatient Internal Medicine Consultant (or Internist) evaluates patients considered for admission and decide to admit, refer to ambulatory care pathways, or assess and discharge these patients. The Internist shall integrate the care and the recommendations of other physicians/subspecialists who become involved in the care of the patient.
Successful candidates will have an important role in establishing working practices and pathways based on best practices with Emergency Medicine, Intensive and Critical Care, step-down unit or high-dependency care, and acute medical care. Special interests, subspecialty training and special talents and/or procedural skills are welcome and can be further developed and utilized for the care of hospitalized patients.
We aim to fill these posts as soon as possible, but we can negotiate the specific starting dates with successful candidates.
My client has requested to know the current role and responsibilities and/or actual work/duty being performed by the candidates, whether they are working (OPD clinic vs hospital, private vs public hospital, small vs large bed capacity, etc), and so on. This is to allow them to gauge if they would easily adapt/cope with our system.
