Tyco Qatar Fire & Security is currently looking for an Electrical Estimating Engineer to join its Sales & Estimation Team. Based in Qatar, the ideal candidate will perform the following roles and responsibilities :
* Review, create and maintain Tender files, Quotations and associated documents.
* Attend site surveys, bid clarifications meetings and maintain reports.
* Review tender documents and understand or seek clarification from either customer of the department manager.
* Seek quotations from the sub vendors, sub contractors.
* Estimating in house product costs.
* Estimating costs for engineering, labour, project management etc.
* To liaise with the company HSE Engineer on all aspects of quality and Safety.
* Designing of Fire Alarm System, VESDA System.
* Preparation of drawings, battery calculations, C&E matrix, sequence of operations etc.
* Designing of Simplex, Minerva, Proline fire detection systems..
* Estimation of fire detection systems.
* Skilled in fast reading of fire detection specifications.
* Managing and handling consultant's queries regarding the projects handled.
* Preparation of datasheet, catalogue for required system.
* Attending site meeting, coordination meeting and site visits if required.
