1. Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
2. Review financial statements, sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
3. Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency.
4. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
5. Determine staffing requirements and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
6. Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand.
7. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
8. Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
9. Play significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
10. Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
11. Coordinate and manage subordinates, facilitate interdepartmental communication and allocate tasks and resources as needed.
12. Gather and link information, resolve discrepancies and make strategic recommendations.
13. Maintains discipline, rules and regulations of restaurants employees in order to maximize their output.
