-Conduct audits of the bank units and departments on the risk based audit approach as per the pre approved audit plane to assure that the audited area line management have identified and classified the risks in their activities and apply the proper control as per the bank approved policy and procedure.
-Ensure that audit work is performed efficiently and effectively by focusing on areas of perceived risk and optimizing the use of available resources.
-Address the risks and evaluate existing controls if effective, sufficient and efficient and recommend to amend the substandard controls implemented as per bank's policy and procedures to avoid / reduce the related risk impact.
-Ensure financial records are accurate and comply with accounting standards, procedure and internal controls, by examine and analyze journal & ledger entries, general ledger, trail balance, exceptional report and other accounting and financial records, documents and systems available in the audited area.
-Write clear and concise worksheets documenting findings and develop recommendations to bring individuals and whole audited area activities into line with the bank goals and objectives.
-Prepare detailed reports on audit findings/observations and recommendations and discuss the same with the Audited Unit Management to add value and improve the performance of the individuals and Units like accounting, operational and management practices and summarize the final discussed report to the high management.
-Conduct spot audits/ special investigations as required as a basis for immediate, appropriate action by senior management
-Monitor compliance with audit recommendations and report to Manager Internal Audit on adequacy of corrective action taken to improve / rectify the conditions
