THE ROLE:
• To lead the Project QS Team in all activities concerning QS, Contracts Administration and Project Costing activities at site and Office
• Ensure that the Company interest is protected with respect to the terms and conditions of the contract and all activities performed on the site are in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions
• Responsible for the preparation and substantiation of claims & change orders
• Attend all negotiation with Client in respect with the claiming of change orders and disputed items
• Attend to all technical queries of the project execution team with respect to the terms and conditions of contract
• Ensure that the method of measuring performance value is in conjunction with the acceptable and internationally known standard method of measurements
• Provide supervision & Support to Project Quantity / Site Quantity Surveyor, Cost and Measurement Engineer, in the preparation of Monthly Progress Reports, Interim Work Valuation and any other report required by the Company procedure and policy
• Check and agree with Client the Final Account of the project in conjunction with the Project Quantity Surveyor and in coordination with the Project Manager
• Responsible for Subcontract Management on site with respect to the Company's contractual obligation and liabilities
• Studies architects' and engineers' building plans
• Measures and estimates building and material costs for projects
• Prepares reports about projected building costs for clients
• Recalculates costs if the design or materials change
• Verifies and validates progress claims from contractors
