Senior Internal Auditor - Dragon Oil Jan 29th 2013, 11:14 • Participate in the planning, organizing and carrying out of an annual internal audit plan/program and monitor the execution of such program. • Review and appraise the soundness, adequacy and application of financial accounting, and operational controls and related applicable policies and procedures. • Ensure that the prescribed policies and procedures are diligently followed and report on deviations discovered and monitor management's response and implementation. • Review and make recommendations on the internal control system and the currently applicable policies and procedures for the purpose of improvement. • Take appropriate measures for the detection and prevention of fraud and elimination of conditions inducing fraudulent actions. • Participate in the setting up of the annual review of the enterprise risk management system/model for the company thereby ensuring that all major risks are identified and analyzed and proper action for mitigation of such risks is addressed. • Liaising with the external auditors in order that both external and internal audit functions could be carried out efficiently and effectively with minimum duplication of efforts. • Prepare reports containing observations, comments and recommendations based on carried out work. • Participate in all meetings involving policy/procedures formulation matters and other allied matters relating to the overall operations of the organization. • Conduct Ad Hoc missions as requested by management and or BOD. Qualifications • BA in accounting/finance. MBA in finance /Accounting preferred. • Professional designation (CGA, CA, CIA, CPA and CMA) is highly desirable. • Minimum of 8-10 years of audit experience with big 4 audit firms and or auditing experience within the oil and gas industry.
