About the role:
Job Purpose
Senior Systems Engineer will be an accomplished technical lead with prior exposure to solutions in .NET and Java Technologies. He/She will provide solution creation, technical consulting and support of applications. Should be able to quickly analyse the fitment of the existing and new software applications for the business problem, identify gaps and suggest solutions
The ideal candidate will be very proactive and self-directed and be equally comfortable managing a team. technical concepts and designs to senior leaders in the group.
He/She will take initiative in solving complex technical and business problems. In areas which may be outside their technical expertise bring in the involvement of the supporting technical team and come up with solutions and design approaches to project requirements.
He/She will be part of a Solutions Team that is maintaining the various applications for the Automotive business and providing IT expertise.
Key Accountabilities
Manage Small to Medium size teams
The candidate will be expected to have the ability to manage vendor based delivery in an onsite/offshore model and hence have the following essential skills and experience:
* Be the representative of Enterprise IT support team in collaborating with the business to gather requirements, address issues and market new ideas
* Understand, document and translate business requirements to team members
* Drive solutions for new and on-going changes requested by the business.
* Manage the delivery of solutions using vendors or internally
* Maintain close working relationships with EIT team members and infrastructure groups to ensure broad awareness of program status and issues
Design and Evolution of the business process design
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage all aspect of the business mapping and blueprinting process including:
* Process design and gap analysis to standard application functionality within the business blueprint project phase
* Able to evaluate the system strategies and requirements related to new application components; recommending and implementing them
* Developing and documenting the detailed design and configuration of the business process
Delivery of Programme/Project solutions/Request for change
* Responsible for leading the design and configuration streams within complex solutions for AFG Businesses
* Legacy data mapping and integration to other modules and Legacy applications.
* Ensure that product upgrades, enhancements, and future roll out projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfil end user requirements.
* Operating in a programme context, including participation in cross functional teams and working with people and organisations from different regions/cultures
