Job Purpose:
To work closely with the Head of Qatar Youth and Community Development in designing, planning and implementing an effective learning development programme as part of the Community Development's youth development program.
• To contribute towards the development of existing and new project components, including researching, compiling and analyzing supporting data.
• To provide administrative and project support in the coordination of Community Development projects.
• To act as a key liaison between Community Development and education institutions in relation to youth programs.
• To develop ongoing monitoring and evaluation mechanism to ensure the effective delivery and sustainability of Community Development programs.
Key Result Areas:
• To work with the Head of Qatar Youth and Community Development and in consultation with program beneficiaries, to develop a leadership training program to complement the ROTA Youth Service Club Initiative.
• To lead in the design, coordination and management of ROTA's annual national youth conference.
• To take part in the delivery and facilitation of focus groups and informal training events for youth.
• To work with the Head of Qatar Youth and Community Development in developing, planning and managing ROTA's youth camp project.
• To coordinate the process of the development of training materials for all leadership training.
• To maintain, in conjunction with the Volunteer Program, an up-to-date database of potential participants and members for Community Development programs.
• To research and develop a pool of professional and experienced speakers, trainers and facilitators for delivery in Community Development programs.
• To liaise with other organisations to develop and implement systems and protocols to ensure productive relationships, appropriate information sharing and referral routes to and from other services
• To act as a mentor, where necessary to young leaders involved the ROTA Club Initiative.
• To regularly review project proposals to thoroughly evaluate their feasibility and sustainability
• To solicit new project ideas ensuring compliance with departmental goals
• To provide monthly progress reports and quarterly program reviews
• To identify and contribute to the collaborative synthesis of best practices and lessons learnt across all departmental activities.
• To establish positive working relationships with staff members and ROTA Club members
• To facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing
• To participate in the scheduling and coordinating of any additional seminar, events or learning activities related to the Community Development department.
The key results have an impact on the overall ROTA program efficiency and success in implementation of its strategies.
