Senior Internal Auditor - Qatar Foundation Feb 19th 2013, 08:38 Brief Posting Description: The Senior Internal Auditor will perform audit assurance and consulting projects in accordance with international auditing standards; responsibilities will include but not limited to the planning, design, performance, documentation, supervision and review of audit work; the reporting of the results of audit work; and the monitoring and verification of auditee management's resolution of audit findings. Detailed Description:  Manage and conduct audit assurance and/ or consulting projects as auditor in charge in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Auditing ("the Standards") of the Institute of Internal Auditors within time budgets and deadlines established, evaluating the adequacy of controls, recommending innovative and practical solutions to remediate unsatisfactory conditions, improve operations and reduce costs.  Plan and conducts effective financial and related operational reviews with limited supervision. Demonstrate the ability to identify internal control risks, business risks, and operational cost reduction opportunities.  Prepare draft audit reports and participate in the development of the final audit report. Discuss preliminary audit findings with management directly responsible for resolution and present final audit results to management ultimately responsible for the area under review.  Conduct special projects and investigations assignment within various QF offices or centers. Perform work in an efficient and effective manner, within the established project work plan.  Present findings and recommendations to the senior level management with practical recommendations to improve internal control weaknesses and inefficiencies.  Manage the tracking and follow up on action plans developed to resolve internal audit findings identified and reported.  Coach and mentor other staff members on the audit project team, as appropriate.  As Auditor in Charge, provide guidance and support to audit staff in support of the audit process and methodology.
