Develop a Trade Business plan, be responsible for P&L performance of the trade, oversee day to daycommercial and operational activities in the trade and provide input to the long term network and businessdevelopment plans for the trade.
- Develop the short and medium term strategies for the trade within the TMU (e.g. target markets, UASC- price positioning and alliances) in cooperation with Network Planning and Cooperations
- Prepare trade budget with input from Clusters, CMD, Network Operations, Fleet Technical
- Submit trade budget to the Head of Trade Management Unit for approval
- Develop and continuously refine trade business plans
- Oversee yield and pricing policy in the specific trade
- Discuss and agree with Key Account Manager on price and volume requirement for each key account
- Oversee capacity allocation between ports within the trade
- Monitor performance vs. budget of all P&L items (e.g. sales volumes and yield by country, imbalance costs, ship system costs)
- Identify reasons for variances in financial performance of the trade and initiate corrective actions (e.g. with clusters) as necessary
- Provide input on network design (including partnerships), feedback on actual performance and proposals for change to Network Planning and Cooperations Manager
- Provide input on slot cost allocation principles to the Head of TMU to be considered by Network
- Planning and Cooperations, as required.
