This is a full time, permanent job based in Dubai.
ABOUT THIS JOB
Experienced Buyer required to work in busy team environment. This is a challenging role with good opportunities to progress. Reports into the Procurement Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Liaising with quality engineers.
Sending requests for quotations.
Identifying new potential suppliers
Analysing the quotations.
Release PO’s to the suppliers.
Vender management and development.
Achieving set goals within procurement.
Working towards savings amongst the team on an annual basis.
Generate reports and feeding this back to management.
Monitoring supplier KPI’s.
A small amount of local travel (approximately 10% of the time to meet with suppliers although on rare occasions international travel might be required.
Ad-hoc duties and special projects as and when required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for this role you will need to have approximately 3-5 years + experience within a Buying / Procurement role and this will have come from the Oil and Gas / Manufacturing / Engineering industry.
You will be used to having a good deal of Vender contact and will be experienced in identifying new potential suppliers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
A Degree in Engineering is highly desirable but not essential.
Practical experience within a technical / engineering role, as above, is desirable but not essential.
