Senior Estimator - System Construct Mar 21st 2013, 06:15 ed Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Prepare indicative tender program and keep update as required. 2. Pricing of direct works using CCS estimating software as per specifications, BOQ, drawings and other contract documents issued by client. 3. Managing and reviewing Quantity take-off from Quantity Surveyors. Detailed study of the specifications of the project complete with regards to soil investigation report. 4. Rate analysis of all the items of works in CCS using prevailing master rates of material, plants and labors and to project specific requirements. 5. Obtaining quotations for various materials and specialized works subcontractors through procurement coordinator scrutinizing analyzing the quotes, checking compliance with specifications, preparation of detailed quotation comparisons for pricing. 6. Prepare and update query register for clarifications required from the consultants/clients and updating tenders as per Addenda letters in coordination with marketing engineer, if required. 7. Visit site of the project with estimators and quantity surveyors and attending of pre-bid meeting with client/consultants. 8. Preparation of detailed preliminaries in company standard format. 9. Complete the pricing of the project and tender summary in company standard format preparation of tender proposal with annexures. 10. Complete standard ISO forms and company formats for the tenders and keep the filing system updated. POST-TENDER WORK: a) Attend negotiations/clarifications meeting with marketing engineer as required b) Work out price for modifications as required by clients/consultants during negotiation in post tender meetings. c) Upon award of project, make contract entry form and prepare kick off meeting details including scope of works, major items of works, subcontract works, commercial terms and hand over to operations and project services department. d) Prepare budget for the whole project after award of the project.
