THE ROLE
This is a full time, permanent position which will be based in Oman.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join the Baker Hughes team in Oman. Working within a busy office this role will involve some travel and would be well suited to an energetic and self motivated individual who is keen to progress. Due to Nationalisation programme all Omani applications are most welcome.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans for introduction of business to new customers or strategies to increase sales and profits.
Developing and maintaining a high level of professional contact with all key accounts
Generating new business opportunities in the aim to maximize revenue and increase Baker Hughes Market Share.
Understanding the of customer requirements and market conditions
Assisting the Product Lines in the preparation of tenders.
Responsible for gathering market intelligence.
Handling of special projects as assigned
Build strong customer relationship
Meeting with clients to discuss upcoming projects and providing solutions for any problems.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
University Degree is essential.
Specialized technical knowledge of one of company's products and services and general knowledge of products and services of other business segments.
Technical experience in Drilling is required.
Good business acumen
Confident, professional, persuasive nature.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong selling and negotiating skills
Ability to build strong relationships with both national and international customers.
Ability to work in team-oriented environment
Demonstrated understanding of sales process,
Knowledge of commercial and contract language will be an advantage
Ability to coach others.
