Senior Accountant - TV Apr 18th 2013, 03:03 the Senior Accountant will report to the Head of Accounting & Finance, and will be in charge of regular (daily, weekly, monthly) accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and proper organization of the TV books. The Senior Accountant will work among other team members and there will be frequent rotation of tasks so the candidate will be expected to be capable of handling the different aspects of an accounting function (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Closing, Fixed Assets, Treasury, etc) with the support of other team members. These tasks include but are not limited to the following: • Booking of monthly accruals related to various lines of expenses as required, including communication with employees from other departments to gather necessary data. • Handling A/P including booking invoices, preparing payments, A/P reconciliations, communication with vendors as required, etc • Handling A/R including revenue recognition, raising invoices, follow up with clients as required, etc • Handling Cash & Bank transactions including bank reconciliation, communication with banks as required, preparing cash status reports, etc • Handling closing activities at month, quarter, and year end • Handling the intangible and fixed assets register, including calculation and booking of monthly amortization/deprecation, new assets addition, etc • Handling intercompany transactions, debit/credit notes, and interacting with accountants from other business units • Responding to auditors requests when required, under the supervision of the Head of Accounting & Finance • Assisting in the preparation of month end financial statements and supporting schedules/reconciliations. • Handling any other accounting tasks as and when required Job Details Date Posted: 2013-04-18 Job Location: Cairo, Egypt Job Role: Accounting/Banking/Finance Company Industry: Arts/Entertainment/and Media Preferred Candidate Career Level: Mid Career Nationality: United Arab Emirates; Bahrain; Djibouti; Algeria; Egypt; Iraq; Jordan; Comoros; Kuwait; Lebanon; Libya; Morocco; Mauritania; Oman; Palestine; Qatar; Saudi Arabia; Sudan; Somalia; Syria; Tunisia; Yemen Degree: Bachelor's degree / higher diploma Apply Now - Jobs in Egypt - Search All Jobs
