KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works primarily in Electrical engineering in product development design or R&D. Responsible for projects of moderate complexity. Has moderate impact on product cost, performance manufacturing methods/standardization. Review and submit patents. Assignments are outlined in terms of specific objectives. Plans and conducts research, design and development of standard engineering assignments. Assignments can be a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations. Assesses results for applicability validity and conformance to specifications. May be the lead engineer on smaller project with some functional supervision. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. May be assisted by entry or junior or level personnel. Assists in project planning and review. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. Assignments are reviewed for overall soundness and adherence to stated objectives. Handles special projects as assigned. May provide work direction for less experienced engineers and technicians.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 3+ years relevant experience in Operations/Formation Evaluation or WireLine
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Electrical Engineering degree.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
General knowledge of concepts in area of responsibility. Ability to identify problems and manage projects. Technical expertise and good knowledge in WireLine and LWD products and services. Ability to create innovative approaches to problems.
