The Senior Accountant is expected to be a very capable accountant who will be able to independently handle clients who outsource their accounting needs to the firm. It is also preferred that the individual is also capable of taking up audit engagements. A Qualified Chartered Accountant (India) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred for this position.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for independently compiling, entering and documenting financial transactions, and reconciling accounts as well as closing the books of accounts of various clients.
1) The candidate must have 4-5 years experience in the accounting/auditing industry.
2) He must have clear accounting concepts and able to independently handle the accounts and liaise with the Clients.
3) He must be able to compile the accounts of Clients of various industries and draw a final Trial Balance.
4) He must be fully conversant with Tally, Peachtree, Quickbooks and other accounting software packages.
