Senior Quality Control Engineer - Kharafi National Aug 27th 2013, 06:27 Senior Quality Control Engineer (Vendor Shop / Factory Inspections ) MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To manage the operation of the Quality Control (QC) functions in vendor shop inspection of HVAC Equipment (Chillers, Pumps, Air Handling Units), Generators, Fire pumps, Pipes & Fittings and implementing components of Quality Controls Plans and Procedures according to Organization Quality Management System and ASME QC Manual. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY 1. To supervise and manage all Quality Control and Assurance (QA)/QC functions in the workplace and manage a team of QC engineers and inspectors for day to day QA/QC functions. 2. To interface and coordinate with Operation and clients for QC matters and coordinate with third party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities. 3. To prepare ASME QC Manual, Quality Control procedures, Inspection Test Plant (ITP), Weld plan according to project/ client requirements and follow-up for its approval. 4. To plan and supervise Subcontractor inspection activities and reviews of Sub Contractor QC performance. 5. To identify the QC requirement for the project (Ex. Resourecs, procedures, documentation etc., ) and liaise with operation and QC Department for its compliance. 6. To supervise staff for reporting, recording and inspection activities. 7. Preparation of Final QC dossier for handing over to the client and maintain proper filing system (as per Organization procedure) with full traceability for retrieving the document. 8. One of the main focal point and also for coordinating during ISO & ASME Internal and External audits; perform internal and operation audits of various Coded jobs. 9. To have a proactive approach in QA&C related problem solving. 10. Knowledge and experience in all QC related activities in Equipment (Pressure Vessels, Skids, Modular Fabrication) Design, Fabrication, testing and Final QC Dossier preparation. 11. Practical knowledge in ASME Pressure Vessel Codes implementation and also its interpretations for various job requirement. 12. Must experience with ASME review audits. 13. To coordinate Non Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and review of NDT reports.
