Role Overview
The AfME SMS Lead is fully accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Sales & Marketing Services scope with a regional and market focus. The SMS Lead ensures the team sets the strategy and then successfully executes, delivering outstanding service levels and also within compliance. The select colleague will also function as regional single-point-of-contact between regional SMS colleagues and the Global Center of Excellence.
Role Definition, Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
*Lead all GCO SMS services for AfME, including Sales Force Automation/Deployment, Incentive Compensation, Contract Sales Management, Promotional Operations, Samples Management
*Build and establish the AfME SMS Organization and provide direction and management oversight to the market SMS Team Leaders; Ensure business continuity during the transition to the new organization
*Partner with Regional Leadership, and the Global SMS CoE to develop, drive and implement SMS strategy within the Global Design guidelines
*Ensure SMS team members are delivering quality service, within compliance, and that business leaders are apprised of any issues.
*Bring regional priorities and needs to the Global CoE and ensure that global strategies and policies are applied in the markets
*Collaborate with the rest of GCO ensuring end to end service and integrated approach is delivered to the business.
*Overall responsibility of key stakeholder engagement and business expectations management (partnership agreements and demand management)
*Lead SMS organization. Develop and motivate the team, recruit and retain talented colleagues. Manage the performance of the team ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform effectively
*As Regional service SPOC, act as liaison between regional SMS colleagues and Global Center of Excellence, responsibilities will include representing regional needs to CoE and ensuring that Global projects are rolled out within region.
*Accountability and joint responsibility with GCO Lead for scope, direction, priorities of Field Force Effectiveness strategy across the region - Challenge status quo to drive both Field Force productivity improvement and customer value
*Seek out SMS good practices from markets / CoE and share across the region
