This covers Business Application Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance. EIT also manages and innovates the entire life-cycles of a SAP ERP system for amongst others Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services including development, selective outsourcing and application management. The Group Infrastructure includes data centers hosting state of the art servers & storage, converged networks, workplace, services and security systems.
About the role:
Support and Maintenance of the IBM WCS system
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage IBM WCS configuration and other business process related activities including:
* Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery of IBM WCS application and business process developments.
* Collaborate with the business in identifying functional requirements for process groups, and create corresponding technical specifications
* Create and modify IBM WCS configurations using defined development standards, procedures, and design specifications
* Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing of development objects
* Provide technical support to end users; diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
* Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
* Ensure Change Controls are developed, tested & released according to an agreed schedule and ensure all high business impact changes are escalated as appropriate.
* Expected to be involved in support activities and a number of development activities and to have developed excellent business process design skills.
* Exhibits the ability to also understand ABAP and interface related issues.
Design and Evolution of the business process design
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage all aspect of the business mapping and blueprinting process including:
* Process design and gap analysis to standard IBM WCS functionality within the business blueprint project phase
* Able to evaluate the system strategies and requirements related to new IBM WCS components; recommending and implementing them
* Developing and documenting the detailed design and configuration of the business process
Delivery of Programme/Project solutions/Request for change
* Responsible for leading the design and configuration streams within complex IBM WCS solutions for AFG Businesses
* Legacy data mapping and integration to other modules and Legacy applications.
* Ensure that product upgrades, enhancements, and future roll out projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfil end user requirements.
* Operating in a programme context, including participation in cross functional teams and working with people and organisations from different regions/cultures
Continuous Improvement
* Work with other functional teams within IT and the Business to identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in the implementation of those agreed
* Maintain and enhance IBM WCS Development skills and knowledge.
* Identify and recommend new technologies to management, as well as detail potential applications and implications for the business.
* Expected to provide positive influence to junior members of the IBM WCS team and be capable of advising on additional process improvement opportunities.
