Job Information & Purpose:
Reports to: Director, Strategy & Investment
Responsible manage the defining and development of investment strategy and business plans for Alwaseeta, identify areas of investment and conduct feasibility studies through economic, financial and technical analysis for assessment of the target investments. Also responsible to formulate and implement all Merger & Acquisition (M&A) and Joint Venture (JV) opportunities in line with Alwaseeta's strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the strategy development exercise including gathering stakeholder ambitions, conducting market research, defining potential markets and positioning options, and selection of preferred option through senior management meetings
Assist in development of a fit for purpose Joint Venture implementation model that reduce business risks through innovative Joint Venture contractual relationships
Contributes to Alwaseeta strategic and business planning process by providing outside -in assessments, due- diligences and associated budget requirements on target M&A/ JV opportunities.
Cascade Alwaseeta's strategic objectives and business plans into KPls and targets for the intermediatary companies & subsidiaries.
Represent and uphold Alwaseeta's brand image in all external platforms and projects as well as professional and industry forums
Develop and maintain the policies and procedures for the Business Development & Planning function and ensure its alignment with the overall business objectives
Lead the new business opportunities identification in line with Alwaseeta's strategic objectives in the designated domains internally or through external consultants.
Lead the development of the initial investment memorandum, commercial assessments and business evaluation model to study the economic, financial and technical viability the identified opportunities
Manage the short listing of the identified opportunities and development of their pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
Analyze the deal tracker on a monthly basis to review the current stage of deals in progress, identify the instances of delay and take appropriate measures to expedite the investment process.
Manage the identification, assessment and prioritization of all shortlisted M&A and JV opportunities in line with Alwaseeta's strategic objectives
Manage the review of the assessment findings, approval of shortlisted targets from the senior management, valuation & due diligence of the targets internally or through external advisors
Manage the JV/ M&A negotiations to ensure that agreements are of mutual benefit to the partners
Ensure proper controls are in place to effectively manage compliance with financial and legal terms of M&A/ JV agreements in the joint venture portfolio.
