Job Information & Purpose:
Reports to: Technical Director
Responsible for ensuring the overall implementation for engineering, procurement and construction activities (performed by EPC/ other contractors/ equipment suppliers) of all downstream/ other industrial projects within desired cost, quality and time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and implement execution strategies, KPIs and systems for all sub-functions and assess any strategic challenges as they evolve.
Represent and uphold Alwaseeta's brand image in all external platforms and projects as well as professional and industry forums
Develop and maintain the policies and procedures of Alwaseeta project execution and engineering operations and ensure their alignment with the overall business objectives.
Provide the necessary inputs for budget preparation as per the future project pipeline.
Review of Feasibility Report for finalization of scope of FEED/ Basic Design Document
Review of scope of FEED / Basic Design Document to be prepared by Design Consultant
Recommend of Draft FEED / Basic Design document prepared by Consultant & its finalization
Recommend & finalize the Contracting Strategy
Identification of statutory approvals and compliance requirements for the project
Recommend and finalize of technical volume for tenders
Recommend & finalize of project milestone schedule & approval of integrated master schedules for projects
Recommend and finalize of Project Level -1 initial budget
Review and approval of project monitoring framework, review MIS and template and formats, frequency and ownerships, review reporting and escalation matrix
Participate in first level of negotiations with major vendors, contractors and consultants for large value; participate in final level negotiations for medium and small value orders.
Conduct discussions with departmental HODs during project planning, risk assessment, scheduling, budget preparation and ongoing execution
Review of change order requests and finalization of recommendations for top management approval
Review & finalization of claims by and claims on contractors
Approval of the contract compliance documents & circulation of final contract compliance checklist to all concerned stakeholders
Approve plant commissioning request & ensure smooth project closure and handover to the User department
Overall and periodic monitoring of the project progress; discuss action plans to compensate for delays and cost overruns with concerned Assistant Manager Execution and functional Assistant Managers
Review and analyses scope change / claims / variation to contract etc
Oversight on work practices; find implementable measures to reduce cost and time and guide such programs towards successful completion.
Adequately represent the leadership of Alwaseeta to the employees within the department ensuring employees understand the overall strategy and demonstration of the required corporate values.
Provide formal and informal feedback to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved
Assesses the performance of direct reportees; providing regular feedback and ensuring appropriate motivation with a view to enhancing overall organizational performance
Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and development, compensation, promotion, career development and succession planning.
Review team performance and oversee linkages with compensation, promotion, career and succession planning.
