To acquire new members and donors, related donations, grants and project support for an Environment Development Forum through a detailed business development and marketing plan set out for each specific category of its members.
To promote the forum within area of responsibility and to ensure that the relationship built with potential and actual clients is a long lasting one with continuous involvement of the members.
The BD Officer will also have the responsibility and objective of selling advertisements for the forum's Magazine.
Moreover, the BD officer will work together with the forum's Secretariat and Fundraising Committee to come up with marketing and promotional activities to increase awareness and presence in the region.
The BD Officer will also be responsible to ensure that the information content, style and tone of the forum's written and spoken marketing material is a good reflection of its intended message.
• Create quarterly BD and marketing plan
• Identify and contact potential donors and members
• Cultivate relationship with potential members
• Market the forum through strong marketing activities to potential individuals, companies or collective groups such as academia
• Develop fundraising activities with the forum's secretariat and Board Members residing in different countries
• Create reports for Secretary General and Fundraising Chairman
• Follow through set out objectives by the Forum.
