Operations Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer
• Drive new project prospecting efforts and propose action plans to generate revenues;
• Oversee the operations and performance of the construction Company and manages its compliance regulatory requirements;
• Establish and monitor progress of set targets, policies, and procedures for enhancing financial performance, safety and quality.
• Directing project Functional managers in utilizing the organization's resources in the most effective way possible;
• Establish and lead a program for the recruitment, retention, training and development of competent senior project leadership to expand business competencies;
• Develop business plans and budgets in order to maximize revenue and support sustainable growth.
• Oversee daily activities of professional staff.
• Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and
• Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (Engineer, HR, IT and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
• Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
• Reviews project plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and coordinates with Hr staff or assignment of project personnel.
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required, Prepares project reports for management, client, or others, Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Direct and oversee site production activities and personnel.
• Direct production activities to insure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory compliance, and lease agreements.
Skills
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field •PMP or CCM Certified, with a demonstrated track record of success as a senior Project Manager or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
