Job Purpose:
To lead, direct and supervise the air freight export operations ensuring enhanced customer service thereby increasing revenue and profitability of air export operations.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Resolve all customer queries on the air freight export services and requirements promptly, to provide customers with the guidance required for order processing.
2. Manage large orders and valuable cargo adequately and follow up to ensure that the process of inspection, handling and loading of cargo at the airport is carried out in a safe manner.
3. Analyze and develop the transportation plan based on customer orders to ensure timely delivery of cargo locally and internationally.
4. Ensure that the AFR export department is staffed with requisite numbers, supervise, train, set objectives for staff, assess, appraise and support team to display high levels of individual and team performance to achieve department and customer objectives.
5. Plan, direct and supervise the operations for all outbound deliveries locally and internationally (esp. within GCC, Indian Subcontinent).
6. Address operational concerns and issues appropriately, monitor progress to ensure timely and adequate resolution.
7. Provide the management with reports as required facilitating effective decision making.
8. Ensure that the KPIs for the team are monitored and achieved for effective performance tracking.
9. Ensure that all practices are in compliance with the company's / customer's operational policies and procedures so that business is handled efficiently.
